AISHA SELVEY:

AISHA SELVEY  PA and Research.  Aisha came to Cairo in 2004 fulfilling a longtime dream to live in Egypt. She has known Suzanna for many years and worked with her on several other international projects, so was delighted when asked to be her PA and Research Director for the Festival.  She is a Reiki 2 Practitioner and Crystal Healer and converted to Islam 15 years ago.  She has a daughter and 3 year old grand- daughter in London and now lives in Cairo with her other 11 year old grand-daughter, Aisha is also a member of the Rotary Club of Giza Cosmopolitan.

HAMDI EL BADRY:

Hamdi was born in Cairo. He is an International Lawyer and Arbitrator. He has joined the Spirit of the Middle East team as its Lawyer and Financial Advisor. He is a firm believer in complementary and allopathic medicine working together. He is fluent in Arabic, French and English.

ALEX CURTIS:

Alex was born in Brixham, Devon in 1974 and moved to London in 1995 where she now lives with her 2 daughter's. She is very interested in complementary medicine and at the moment is training in holistic body massage and other related disciplines. She has joined the team as the London co-ordinator for the Mind Body and Spirit Festival,Cairo 2007.

SANDIE WARRICK Öksüz:

Sandie Warrick Öksüz born in England, a small village called Long Sutton in Spalding Lincolnshire. Opted out of the rat race in 2005,now live in Istanbul Turkey with my husband Mehmet and enjoy a far more leisurely lifestyle. My profession was selling or sales orientated, a far cry from the work I do now. Since living here in Üsküdar I have joined an organization called MAGDER its a NGO group made up of entirely volunteers for awareness and preparedness in disasters, Istanbul being a prime target for earthquakes. The aim of the association is to educate the general public about any disaster, our website is www.magder.org.tr.

MICHAEL MITCHELL:

Michael is the Projects Director for the Festival 2008.  He is the right hand man to Ahmed Ganzoury Egypt's formost Celebrity Party Guru.

After living in the Chinatown section of New York City for 7 years, Michael became fascinated by the traditional Asian health treatments and their enormous benefits. Following many trips to Thailand, where the fascination became a desire to learn, he gained his Thai Traditional Massage diploma from the world leading Wat Po Traditional Medical School in Bangkok, becoming one of many westerners to partake in a global discovering of the excellent benefits of the ancient art of Thai Massage, also known as Thai Yoga Massage. He has practiced in Australia, the United States, and now brings this gift of Thailand to Cairo.

MEHMET R. OKSUZ:

I was born in Istanbul Turkey,at the age of twelve I was admitted to the Military Academy,on leaving the forces at the age of twenty four I joined my Uncles business where I learnt all aspects of management.
I attended Marmara University to study International Business and obtained a degree I am still doing a doctorate degree on this subject.I formed my own company in 1985 and still have that company to date.
I have been a member of MAG for five years,and on the board of MAGDER for two years,obtaining my certificate to be a lecturer on Prepardness and Awareness For Disasters from Kandilli Observatory Institute along with my wife Sandie and thirteen other MAGDER members.

JOHN DOUGHERTY:

John has joined the team for the 2008 Festival as its workshop and lecture co-ordinator.  He is a trained therapist and runs his own center in Maadi.

After many years in a corporate position, John enrolled in a Swedish Massage Certification program at Philadelphia School of Massage in 2000, completing his course in 2001. Since then he has added foot reflexology and reiki to his practice, completing certificate courses for both modalities during 2001/2002.

KARIMA  EL ANSARY:

Karima  El Ansary is currently a lecturer of English   at University and a researcher  in the field of Educational psychology. Since early childhood , she  has developed a passion for art and nature . Karima  earned a master degree in TEFL  from the American University in Cairo where she spent 20 years of teaching experience. At present she is teaching and directing  ESP unit at Modern Academy/ Besides,  she is an activist in Human development and social  work . For instance,she  is the president of  Refaa Tahtawi society and a member of Serafis intercultural society . She is also a member of neurosciences network  in Bristol university and SIG in neurosciences and education. She already published articles in local educational forum and took part in international conferences.. Furthermore, she established  maadi cultural Salon for many years,  Karima also  translated a book  in ancient wisdom  under the name of THE VOICE OF THE SILENCE which is under publication at the moment. Karima believes in the ancient saying :" What is  above is below".- a hermetic belief.
